...So I was thinking to myself, I don't get to go home and sleep in my cozy bed after the wedding....I hear of many people doing the hotel thing....
So I asked my parents since I don't get to come home where do I go....They told me to my new house or apartment....
Does everyone have to stay at a hotel the night of there wedding?!?!?!?
Can you let me know..I am so confused.

Re: Night of Wedding
unless we have a lot of people stay at the hotel we set up so that we can get a free room, we'll be staying in FH's apartment....well, then it will be 'our' apartment...

Re: Night of Wedding
We are staying at a hotel. Actually, the same hotel as all of our guests. That way, we can all wake up and have brunch together with everyone!!!!
We'll be leaving for our honeymoon (on sunday after the wedding), so we want to be sure to spend as much time as we can with our guests that flew in!

I'm not sure what we'll be doing yet either. I was thinking of going back to our apartment, but it'll be a real mess to return to since I will be getting ready there along with bridesmaids.
I've thought about it, but I'm not sure yet.

I feel the same way. I know hotels are cool, but after a day of worring stressing and partying, I just want to relax and be comfortable with my FH and my cat!

No, of course you don't have to. Stay where ever you are most comfortable.
Some people feel if you stay in a hotel it's a little more special because it's different. We are actually staying at a hotel the night of. I will be there the night before too.
It's totally up to you and your FH

Re: Night of Wedding
We get a free room at the Inn at East Wind on the night of our wedding. A lot of our guests are also staying there to enjoy the party and stay for the morning after brunch. Then the next night we will stay in our new apartment together.

Re: Night of Wedding
We're probably staying in a hotel. Most likely the night before the wedding, my mom, little sister and I may stay in a hotel since we're expecting relatives that want to stay at mom's house as opposed to a hotel. If we stay in a hotel chances are we will stay in one closer to the airport and leave for the HM from there.

Re: Night of Wedding
We are but it will be the same hotel that our OOT guests and reception are. PLUS the room is part of our package, so it isn't going to cost us a thing!
Otherwise we probably would've stayed wherever we'll be living by that time.

This is what I will probably do!

Re: Night of Wedding
We'll be staying at the same hotel as our guests. We live together now and our apartment is in Westchester so we wont want to travel after the wedding all that way. Plus, we want to spend time near our friends and family and do breakfast together the next day. Everything is just easier if we are all in the same place.

Re: Night of Wedding
you dont HAVE to stay in a hotel - we are doing that because we will be living in an apartment and we have nosy landlords so its not exactly the most romantic place to spend our wedding night
if we had our own home then we would definietly be spending the night there

Re: Night of Wedding
You stay wherever you want. If you want to stay in hotel that's fine or if you want to go to your new home then that's fine too. It's all up to you

Re: Night of Wedding
I want to go home... the only way I wouldn't is if a lot of people stay at the hotel, then we might. We don't expect a lot of people to though, because the wedding ends at 5:00pm
