night of wedding

Original post by kab523

I know it is a little early for some, but does anyone know where they are staying the night of the wedding? I just quoted garden City Hotel and they were over $600 for the night.

Check out the Chamber Hotel on 56th st, very nice and modern or any of the W Hotels, if you are interested in the city

the W hotel is nice too...have you seen the mandarin oriental, it is absolutely gorgeous.

I still haven't decided if we want to go into the city after, maybe its easier to stay in LI, if we do stay in LI we'll stay at the garden city hotel

i never realized how close the GCH is to JT - it is seriously like 5 minutes. . passing JT and staying at the GCH was part of my birthday present LOL

First, I have absolutely no idea where we will be staying, we haven't even booked yet.

Second, one of my BM's got married Dec. '04, and we stayed at the Garden City hotel, and the room was about $200, it seems as though the prices are still about the same now.

I havent seen the Mardarin, I am going to Google it. Both the city and LI hotels are nice, but its prob easier to stay in LI. I havent really thought of booking a hotel bec I thought we would have FH's house, but now Im thinking about it we may not be left alone, hahahah, if you book a hotel room can you cancel it? Will they penalize you?

It is gorgeous but also very expensive...its $1200 a night for a STANDARD room...if you want a bigger room or suite it is between $1800-2800 a night

But after the wedding we might not want to troop to the city, so not sure yet what we will do.

Hmmm i would call the hotel and ask about their cancellation policy.

very expensive but worth every penny especially on your wedding night with the view of the city
