Oh that is so nice of you to say. You must be so excited. I am also but feel like I need the time to enjoy the engagement, buy a house and really get what we want from the right vendors.
Does that make sense?

Definitely. I have a friend who had every detail planned within a few months of her engagement, so she could just enjoy the next year being engaged. I'm so jealous. I wish I could be like that, but I'm way more of a procrastinator - I'll probably be planning things for the next 525 days, 9 hours straight!

Ooh, I'm a teacher too. I'm gonna hate going back to work on Tuesday, but our next vacation is what, 7 weeks away? I can handle that.
I teach on the Island and the SD right next to the one I work at gets to go back on Wednesday.
Lastnight a few of us girls were online pretty late and said that we would do a BLIZZARD DANCE to get an extra day off.
I guess it didnt work
I teach in NYC, and last year when we had more snowfall in one day than had ever fallen in Central Park, ever, in the history of recordkeeping - we didn't get the next day off. It would have to be one heck of a blizzard dance to close the NYC schools.

Im sure your planning of the major things will be done by them and the two of you can spend time just being engaged away from the hussle and bussle of everything

FH just went on an interview for the NYC teaching fellowship! He said he did great so hopefully he gets this job.
