We pretty much spent the entire movie looking at eachother VERY puzzled or saying 'Yeah but that's Broots' (Uncle Rico was Broots from The Pretender, one of our favorite shows) ...

Ditto .. the first 1/2 hour I couldn't take it, they it totally grew on me.. actually even after I'd just finished watching I wasn't sure I liked it, but they all the lines came back to me and I crack myself up just thinking about them

That's exactly how I felt. I wasnt sure if I liked it, but then I kept repeating the one liners. I watched it the very next day and I loved it.

But it's true when they say you'll either love it hate it.

We rented that movie and I actually had to leave the room. That's unusual for me. I have very low standards and usually like most movies at least a little.

It was the weirdest, most bizarre thing I have seen in a long time, but I have to say.......

I liked it! I was strangely fascinated by it and I watched the dance scene 3 times the night we rented it. DH & I kept looking at each other in the beginning and saying 'what the hell?' but we ended up liking it.

DH and I keep saying we need to rent it just to find out what all the fuss is about. I have a feeling I won't like it though. I like strange movies, but I don't like stupid comedies..i don't know which category this falls into.

In the spirit of Napolean, I have to say it falls into the category 'stromedy', or 'strange comedy', its only his favorite category, gosh!

It had it's funny moments, Napolean, was the funniest, his voice and what he says and I love his fashion sense, ha ha....but I'm into movies that are stupidly funny, this wasn't in my list the funniest, but it was amusing to me.

I want to see it. FH cringes when looking at the commericals so I don't think he'll watch it with me!

is there another movie it's comparable to, so I can decide if it's worth the rental?

If I had to compare it to anything, I would say it's mildly comparable to 'Welcome to the Dollhouse', but funnier.

ETA: I LOVED it!!!!

We watched it about a month ago after everyone I know swore to me I'd LOVE it.

Of course, they were WRONG. I hated it. Hated it! Hated it!!!

Terrible movie - one of the worst I've ever seen.

I don't think I smiled once while watching it

Thank you!!! I kept thinking that I was crazy for not liking it.

We shut it off 20 minutes before the end because we just couldn't take it anymore!!! Every scene could have been funny but then it just ended and went to the next scene. Maybe I need to have a few drinks and see it again.

It is so funny cause I remember seeing the commercials for it and just wondering 'who would be stupid enough to watch that?' - well the answer was me (and I loved it - and so did FH).
It is SO not my type of movie either but it was so awesomely weird and stupid and funny all in one!
