Is there anyone else not having a BP? I have a sister, so that is a built-in MOH, but I didn't want to pick and choose between my friends so I decided not to have a BP at all. FH also has a brother, so that was easy, and he was fine with not having any guy friends as ushers... so far my friends have been fine with my decision!

Re: No bridal party?
you can have just a MOH and Best Man if you want - we have 3 people each - we wanted to keep it small

Nothing wrong with that. I would have done the same but I did not want to leave anyone out. If you can get away with it, good for you! I wish I could!

Re: No bridal party?
My friend isn't having a big bridal party. Just me as her MOH. It's cool. I wanted it small too, but FH had this list long of friends he wanted in his BP, so we have 7 on each side (that's not small at all). I think it'll be more romantic and elegant with a smaller party -JMO I say go for it.

Be thankful you were able to get away with that. It wil be a lot cheaper and less headache!!!

Re: No bridal party?
I wanted to do something smaller, so I am just having my sister as my MOH, my FSIL as a BM and my best friend as another BM. However, I do think I will honor my other friends whom I didn't ask with a corsage or a single rose or something.
I think it is fine to have a super small bridal party. It makes it more intimate and does cut down on the cost for you and your friends who would have ot shell out $ to be in your bridal party (although I'm sure they wouldn't mind doing so if you asked them).

Re: No bridal party?
I am not having a bridal party. I just dont really see the point in them I have been in my share of wedding and have spent over $1000 between the dress and the gift etc...so I just decided not to put any of my friends through it.
However I am having an Orthodox wedding which calls for a Godparents ....so its kind of like a MOH & BM so I guess it is 2 people....

For friends that we wanted to 'honor' we are having them sign the Ketubah (Jewish marraige document) or the wedding license. We are also asking them to show up early for photos, so they also feel like they are part of the 'getting ready stuff' without the drama!

Re: No bridal party?
I am only having a MOH and 1 BM. I am very into symmetry and it was either 2 or 4 in the BP. FH isnt really close with 4 people so we stuck to 2 on each side.
It definitley is alot easier not to have to deal with too many opinions.

Re: No bridal party?
Im kinda sorta but not really having one. My FH's uncle is his best man and his 3 older brothers and my younger brother will be gromsmen and his niece and nephew are RB and FG.
Wanted to keep it simple and too many women=too much estrogen=too much drama for me. JMO of course
