I decided to not have a bridal party. I know, my mother can't believe it. Has anybody ever went to a wedding w/o bridesmaids? I will have flower girl..ring bearer...
I am having my sister as a maid of honor.

there is nothing worng with that...i come from a HUGE family so i am just used to having a big bridal party.....but you do what YOU want.....i think it will be just fine

I am having no bridesmaids either. My 2 sisters will be by maid and matron. FH only has his brother as the BM.

I've been to a few where the bride just had a MOH and the groom had a best man. I think it's a great way to simplify things - unfortunately, sometimes having a bridal party can cause quite a bit of drama.

I am having no bridal party at all......my sister and FH friend will sign the registry.....some people have said that they think its weird but I really dont care....so go with what you want....we are so ingrained with what we are 'supposed to do' that we forget that we can make a decision for ourselves...so be happy with yours and stick to your guns....

we are doing the same... my cousin will be moh and fh's brother bm.
it was just easier because we both have huge families.

Yep, I went to a wedding where the brides just had her sisters as Maid and Matron of honor. There was one groomsman/bestman, the grooms dad

I come from a HUGE family and want everyone to attend, but dont see the need to have them spend extra money to be in my bridal party. So after everything we decided to have our 2 brothers, 1 sister and 1 cousin in our bridal party with one ring bearer and flower girl and then my son will walk me down the aisle with my dad. Thats about it.
Times are a changing and I think the Bride and Groom should have whatever they want. Dont worry about everyone else. Good luck with your decision.

I've been to a wedding with only a MOH. I don't see anything wrong with it. It was a beautiful wedding. I say go for it!

We are only having a MOH and BM. No RG or FG's. We are in our mid and late 30's... my friends do not need another bridesmaid's dress that they can 'oh yeah, wear again', right

i have 3 girls (MOH, bridesmaid, jr bridesmaid) and I wish I didn't have any. Its more of a pain than anything...can you unask someone?

We have no ushers.. Just the BM My sister will be my MH and My (2) cousins will be the BM (1) fg and (1) rb

I might end up doing that as well. My only bridesmaid is being a pain in the ___ , so if it doesn't work out with her, it will be only my sister as my maid of honor.
I have too many little girl cousins that can all be flower girls (more than 4), but who's going to look after them all day? So we decided against it.
