is anyone else not exchanging x-mas gifts with their FH to save money. Our gifts will be to deposit money into our joint account....yippee!!

I'm the same way...Iwant to open something! There isnt anything I want...but I still want some gifts. LOL.

I suggested it, he refused. I said no joint gift he wants wii so i said no gifts, he said small. Gonna knock him out. We really can't afford to so like Joanne we'll probably be eating grilled cheese.

we are setting a budget. we usually have a budget, but this year it is going to be a lot lower.

A girl at my job gave me a cute idea. Last year her and her boyfriend did gifts that could only fit in their stockings!

i honestly don't want or need anything. But, if i were to tell FH this, he wouldn't listen and he would buy me something anyway, because thats just him... so i am going to get him something as well

oo that is a really cute idea.. but knowing my FH he will put some jewelry in there..
this year we are definitely cutting back on what we usually give.. he tends to OVER give at christmas.. last year he bought me a new MacBook i dont think i will get anything like that this year!!

I told him I didn't want to exhange gifts this year but he says he getting something for me anyway.
So we decided to keep it small & under a certain amount.
But as far as gifts go for the rest of the family in general it's going be to a limit. Hopefully everyone will understand that we have a wedding to save for. The only person who I know that will complain is FMIL. You should have seen her 'wish list' last year. She wanted a new bed, new sofa, 2 new flat screen tvs, a blender... WELL she got a blender LOL.

We are cutting back on all the christmas gifts. My whole family has decided not to do gifts except for stocking stuffers-instead we are all going to pick a night and go out to dinner.
Me and FH are going to exchange small gifts, hopefully his family will want to cut down also-if not-i am not going overboard like i usually do

We are doing small gifts! I know that never happens bc i a shopoholic and i cant help but buy everything. as for family and friends we told everyone we will be giving very small presents and we will try to make as many presents as we can!

We decided on 1 small gift- just so we have something to open on Christmas. The hard part is cutting down on what I buy for my neice and nephew. I usually go crazy and get them like 10 gifts each. This year its only 3 each.
