The two reception halls that I wanted to use are booked the day that I wanted them. Any suggestions as to were else to look. I am trying to have 200 pp. I tried Chaeau Briand (sp) and Flowerfield(which I really liked).

Are you set on that date? jannshari posted yesterday that she may be cancelling her reception at the Woodbury country club on October 10 2004. I don't know how many people it holds, but you may want to FM her.
I was just gonna say the same thing.
Didn't someone else also recently put up a post about looking for someone to take their hall? I would do some searches ...
Port Jeff CC maybe? Someone switched venues- can't remember who or when though.

Go to the newsstand and get one fo those recption site maagizne, or go ont ..there's a website that loist reception sites by regon and it has most of them on there, and just start calling each one and chekcing the date. Thenonce you know who is avalileab, then you can compare them. I mena everyone's suggesting thier halls, which is great, but it's all meaningless until you know what's available on that date! START CALLING!

I think the website Marymoon is referring to is www.weddingsitesandservices.com. Just choose the area you're interested in and it will give you a lisiting of halls in that area and details like how many people it can hold. The phone numbers are listed there too so you can call and ask them if they have your date.
