NO dress!!! HELP

Helen's private bridal collection in Commackanyone heard good or bad things?

Re: Helen's private bridal collection in Commack

I went there to try on some Maggies...I felt that their selection was very limited and the saleswoman was not very helpful...every dress I tried on was pulled by my Mother, the attendant just stood there, only helped me get into/out of dresses.

Also I went in on a Saturday afternoon and it was really crowded. It doesn't help that the place is pretty small.

On top of all that they quoted me almost $300 more for my dress than Lillettes did. YMMV though, and no offense to girls who are getting their dress there...just my experience.

No dress! Help

Wow, okay. I have heard some not nice things about lillettes.

Im freaked now. Ive gone to 5 stores and found nothing I liked. These were my two last ditch efforts and now im worried. Nine months away and no dress!!!!

haven;t heard of the place you asked about, but I am also someone who got their dress at Lillettes. I have four friends who all got their dresses their and had great experiences. I have heard their alterations department can be a litlle rough, but the sales staff are great!!

bah.... it wont let me reply...

I did try Davids.... It seems I am WAY more picky than I ever thought.

Any other ideas for good dress stores? Im not set on a designer because of the 50+ dresses Ive had on, Ive only liked 3.... 2 of them were maggie sottero and the other was impressions?

I don't know what you've heard but so far I love Lillettes...they take appointments at short notice and they literally let me try on as many dresses as I liked until I found the one. THEN they let me hem and haw over that one for another half hour. Also when I came back with a BM for her to try dresses they let me put on and keep on my dress to see how the dresses looked together.

I don't think you have anything to worry about with them...if you haven't been, I suggest going, they have a great selection.
