no duet for us...

why does picking vendors have to be so haaaard. i really thought we were going to be all over duet. but we did not like their video at all compared to other videographers we saw. we would have booked them for photography but their photo-only package is so pricey. i mean, if we're going to pay for them, we might as well go with one of the artsy-fartsy photographers that we can't afford. lol.

anyhow, feel like this weekend was total waste. drove all the way out to the island for 2 days and whirlwind marathon of meetings only for fi and i to disagree on who we want (although, we did agree on a few that we DON'T want).

so discouraging!

honestly, picking vendors, especially photography is a pain. We weren't fans of duets video or there only 'digital' picture policy, but there work is great. We went with Patken. Being I work in the business, I kinda had a head start on which vendors to chose just based on who I've worked with. I would first check the photographers website, serch here for pictures by that photographer and then visit them before wasting a trip. Good Luck!

We booked them only for photography. We booked Timeless Treasures for video. With the two combined we saved over $1000 from the other vendor we were considering that did both.
I really dont think they are pricey at all. You would get barely anything from those higher priced photographers at the price you would get from Duet.
I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss them.

Sorry you had such a frustrating weekend. You're not alone in your frustration, though! FH and I saw nine or ten different photographers before we finally made a decision, and we hated every step of the process!! Although we're very excited about the photographer/videographer that we ultimately booked with, we found the whole 'looking' process to be annoying...long appointments, SOOOO much money, etc.

Don't worry...you'll find the right vendor for you! I wish you lots of luck that the rest of your photography hunt goes smoothly.

Don't be discouraged! Duet wasn't for us either!! We ended up choosing a photographer who better suited us. FM me with any questions

This week is slow for me at work.

So I have booked all Video, Photo, Florist, Dj Makeup, Gown Fitting, appts + Bridesmaid search for this week. I'll be toast by Friday & ready for happy hr.

Me too! I felt so silly in front of Eric tearing but I was moved by it. I thought I was not the only one though!

Good Luck finding someone...I really liked Silverfox too but they were way to much $$ for us.

Dont worry, everyone has different taste. Duet wasn't our top pick either. Just keep looking you'll find someone you love

lol i got teary in front of his wife niole i think her name is. it was just so beautidul i couldnt hold back, esp during the outdoor nighttime ceremony part i thought for sure i'd start bawling

I agree- we didnt book them for video we booked timeless treasures too! duet is also willing to negotiate and you get a lot for your money...i would throw them out of the list just yet

me too, i absolutely loved it and i had to try soooo hard not to cry during it, and i did get teary from the other bride who posted her duet video on here.

good luck with your choices, i know, it def. gets frustrating!
