I'm thinking about doing a donation also, but I'm not sure. Most people don't use them anyways!!

same reason too ...where do i beign to look for the place i want to donate too? how does it work ? do i just make a donation and then i recieve a card for each guest saying they made a donation ?

Pick a charity that's close to your heart and contact them and see what they do, if anything. They may give you scrolls for the tables, or tented cards. They may give you nothing in which case you can decide on an amount, send a check and then for the reception put scrolls or cards or framed explanations on the tables saying...'in leiu of traditional favors, Bride & Groom have made a donation to Charity XYZ...' or something like that.....

I would like to do a donation as well, but there are so many great causes that have directly affected our families that it will be diificult to choose which one to support.

yeah we are going to donate as well. At first I wasn't sure about it but then we thought of some close to our hearts so we decided to donate. I think most places give cards to you to give out. I might also do a small thing of chocolates attached to it. I have gotten so many favors that i don't even knoe where they are and have never used them.
