No flower girl or ring bearer....

No flower girl or ring bearer....

Ok so heres a question....FH and I know zero children. Strangely enough I am a teacher! Anyway, I feel like I don't want to ask random people if I can use their children in my wedding and so this would leave me with no flower girl or ring bearer.

I feel like a wedding without a flower girl or ring bearer is just weird!!!

Any thoughts on what I might do? Or reassuring advice letting me know I'm not crazy for NOT having them?

Thanks!

Most of the weddings I have been to didn't have them, actually. It's not a big deal if you don't have them, it's almost better in a way. I feel it's less stress- kids are not always so well-behaved and they could get restless waiting around to walk down the aisle.

I don't think its weird to not have them..everyone does different things now at weddings, so it's totally up to you..but def not weird..i say who cares lol

It's not weird not to have either. My best friend got married a year and a half ago - she had no flower girl or ring bearer despite s super traditional wedding.

FH and I will have a flower girl - his going on 5, 6-year-old half-sister by the time we're married (Yes, there's 23 years between them).

We asked her to be our flower girl because she's been super upset ever since he moved out of the house (he was living at home when she was born due to some job troubles, and helping out his family while unemployed).

So we wanted her to feel extra special, that she'll always be important to us - even if far away.

There's no ringbearer.

I've been to a half dozen weddings in the past couple of years and nobody has had a ring bearer or flower girl. I'm not having any either.

So sweet...she will love being a part of her big brothers big day! If I had family or a really close friend with a daughter I would do the same thing.
I really want a flower girl but I'm not begging for one lol.

I was in a wedding where they didn't have them and I do not plan on having them in my wedding either.

I don't think there is anything wrong with not having them. If FH didn't have a daughter there would be no flower girl because I didn't want kids at the wedding.

We're not having a flower girl or a ringer bearer. Most weddings that I have been to have not had them either. Honestly, they are sometimes (ok... usually) a distraction, so I prefer neither haha

Awww. Thanks.

She had the biggest diva attitude when we asked her ' Oh.. I guess I could do that.' Then we told her she gets to wear a dress, walk the aisle and throw flower petals...

Then she got excited.

She's a princess diva in training. let's hope we can handle her.
