Ok so heres a question....FH and I know zero children. Strangely enough I am a teacher! Anyway, I feel like I don't want to ask random people if I can use their children in my wedding and so this would leave me with no flower girl or ring bearer.
I feel like a wedding without a flower girl or ring bearer is just weird!!!
Any thoughts on what I might do? Or reassuring advice letting me know I'm not crazy for NOT having them?
Thanks!

Def not weird. My brother didn't and neither did my cousins. There was a span of time when there were no kids. I am having a Jr bridesmaid but no ring bearer or FG either bc FH's sis is having her in laws watch them upstate so her and her husband can party at our wedding.

We're not having a flower girl or a ringer bearer. Most weddings that I have been to have not had them either. Honestly, they are sometimes (ok... usually) a distraction, so I prefer neither haha

I don't think it's weird not to have one! Just depends if you have any kids you want in the BP. FH and I both have 3 year old cousins so they will be our ring bearer and flower girl. I was a BM in the my FG's parents wedding and their dad was a ring bearer in my parents wedding!

You aren't crazy. I've been to plenty of weddings without them.

It's not weird not to have either. My best friend got married a year and a half ago - she had no flower girl or ring bearer despite s super traditional wedding.
FH and I will have a flower girl - his going on 5, 6-year-old half-sister by the time we're married (Yes, there's 23 years between them).
We asked her to be our flower girl because she's been super upset ever since he moved out of the house (he was living at home when she was born due to some job troubles, and helping out his family while unemployed).
So we wanted her to feel extra special, that she'll always be important to us - even if far away.
There's no ringbearer.
I was actually wondering the same thing. We have a close family member whose daughter can be a flower girl however, no boy on either side that we are close to for ring bearer. I didn't think its weird and I'm trying to reassure FH that we can do whatever we want.

We are not having a flower girl or ring bearer and we're having a full mass in a Catholic church. Don't feel obligated. My FH has two nephews who were ring bearers in her wedding this year and their mom (my future sister-in-law) had to walk them each down the isle b/c they would not go themselves!

Although most weddings I've been to have had them, I'm not. The only kid in the wedding will be my son, who will be 9 at the time, and I'm having him walk me down the aisle with my dad. I wanted him to have a slightly more 'special' role than ring bearer.

Re: No flower girl or ring bearer....
The only reason I have a flower girl is because we have a daughter that will be 2 at the wedding. If we didnt have her we wouldnt have a flower girl either cause the next youngest will be 9.5.

THIS! Most of the weddings I've been to recently haven't had flower girls or ring bearers. Of the few weddings that did have either one, the ring bearer stole the show on the dance floor during the reception and the guests were crowding around to watch him dance and at the other wedding, the photographer focused on the flower girl almost just as much as the bride! I still have almost 2 years before my wedding, but I don't plan on having either.

I've been to weddings with ring bearers or none, never a flower girl lol. FH & I aren't having ANY kids at the wedding, so I don't think it's weird not to have them.
