No Flowers-update-pics of flowers

I guess it's not meant to be..

DH just called and asked if I would be disappointed if the flowers weren't delivered to my office...I told him I was already disappointed.

He said that he called everywhere and it was just too much money to have them delivered with same day delivery ..etc..

I told him I was already disappointed..

I changed the subject quickly to prevent any unpleasantness.

He said he would rather bring them home.

I didn't mention Shop Rite.

I think I operated with restraint.

We can spend $500 on a flat panel wide screen Dell monitor...hmmm...

There is still time. On V day I got my flowers at 9pm!

It would have been nice to get them at work...that was the point.

I agree-I can go get them for myself like I do all the time anyway.

i know how you feel. The week of my b-day, I handed my FH the card and not so slyly said, 'Here... just in case you were thinking of sending me flowers to work, which EVERY girl LOVES, on a certain day this week. This place has the most BEAUTIFUL flowers... just remember I go to lunch at 1.' Do you think that was subtle enough? lol. It did work, but I wish he would just THINK to do that stuff on his own. (it would mean more). I'm sorry the hint didn't work. Did he remember that today was you anniversary, but just not send flowers? Or did he not remember the day? Maybe he has something else equally special planned?

Maybe you can just be honest with him (not necessarily today... you don't want to ruin the day) and tell him that you were disappointed that you didn't get flowers on your anniversary, and it would really mean a lot to you if he considered doing that in the future for certain special days. Tell him the surprise of flowers being brought to your office is like no other feeling... and it would really make you feel special. What do you think? Happy Anniversary, by the way!

Aww..thanks..I'm sure he will have flowers for me at home. I just hope they don't come from Shop Rite!

He is so wonderful anyway, but next time I will tell him outright that flowers to the office is very special.

Now I have to get that card back from him!

I know guys are slow...so I suggest giving him more notice next time. Like a week!
