I guess it's not meant to be..

DH just called and asked if I would be disappointed if the flowers weren't delivered to my office...I told him I was already disappointed.

He said that he called everywhere and it was just too much money to have them delivered with same day delivery ..etc..

I told him I was already disappointed..

I changed the subject quickly to prevent any unpleasantness.

He said he would rather bring them home.

I didn't mention Shop Rite.

I think I operated with restraint.

We can spend $500 on a flat panel wide screen Dell monitor...hmmm...

I actually have a business meeting tonight so I won't be home until at least 10.

Can't fault him...he's a guy..

A weeks notice-he would forget...he doesn't have enough brain cells to hold it that long.

I know about the lack of cells!! When I want something I have to start dropping hints a MONTH in advance...and then every day until the big day! It's annoying but that's how I get everything.

No notice about the day, just what she wants...flowers in the office!! If it's something they don't normally do - at least with my guy - they need a lot of notice. Sadly.

Doesn't it stink that a few of us have to work THIS hard to receive 'surprises?'. Why can't they just DO it? I told my FH that I LOVE the flowers at our Stop and Shop the week before V-day. I told him NOT to buy from a florist because it's too expensive, but I love how Stop and Shop sprays their roses with glue and glitter... it's BEAUTIFUL. Are STOP AND SHOP flowers too much to ask? I guess, because I THINK I got the ones from the guy off the highway with the sign that says 'ROSES - $10.00'. lol. Of course, I appreciate everything, but why can't they say, 'ya know what? I don't see it as a big deal, but if it will make her happy, gosh darn it, I'm doing it!'. Oh well...

Don't ruin your night about it... just mention it to him AFTER today for the future.

And I DO know that my FH loves me... he just shows me in HIS way, like in the middle of watching t.v., just looking at me and saying 'You're my best friend'. THAT I loved. But I love girly things, too! lol. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!

Oh Im so sorry. The man I work with is in his 50s and hes so sweet. He told me the worst thing he ever did was forget Valentines day,so his wife bought herself candy, flowers and a beautiful card and wrote it to herself. He said he felt so bad he never forgot any special date again.

Maybe you should do that. :hugs

So these are the flowers..DH picked me up at the train station with these riding shot gun. They are beautiful. Max even likes them..although he thinks they are food and for him..

Had to work late last night so we will celebrate Friday night.
