Hello Ladies, I have a dilemma., I do not want to wear a headpiece. I am wearing my hair half up and was considering wearing just a veil or a veil with a fancy comb attached, Do you think my head will look naked without a fancy comb? I get so confused when I go out and look at veils and combs and headpieces. The people at my bridal shop said I do not need to wear a headpiece or fancy comb. Does anyone have any pictures of a bride with half up hair with either a fancy comb or just a veil? TIA

Re: No headpiece Question!
I'm having small flowers in my hair. YOu could try babys breath, small roses, etc... Thats just my suggestion. I'm not wearing a veil, so I guess I'm not much help. But I thought you might like the idea.

I bought small ceramic flower hairpins - they were like less than an inch big. They were scattered around in my updo...I just loved them. I bought them on ebay.

If you want a little sparkle, how about some little clips on the side or even a broach type thing. They have so many now that are pretty and will add a little something to your hair without looking too obvious. Otherwise, I think you'd be fine without anything. You're the bride...you'll stand out already!

Re: No headpiece Question!
I just had a veil on a comb...nothing else, and I took my veil off for the reception.
I'm not doing a headpiece either - but I'm going all up with some flowers. I may not even do a veil (since I am getting married outdoors next to a beach and don't want it blowing all over the place) - not sure yet.
I'm not really too worried that I will look like I'm missing something - with my gown and makeup and hair done
I'm not wearing a headpiece either. It just ddin't feel right on me. I am wearing a veil only for the ceremony and I'm adding chandelier earings for added sparkle. I feel more like myself that way.

I will also be doing this but I may add hair pins for more sparkle!

Re: No headpiece Question!
From General Hospital (and no, I'm not the obsessed fan who made the little 'montage' ):
I am doint the 1/2 up and 1/2 down look also- I wasnt going to have a vail or anthing but I think just for a few pic I will put something in the back of my head and maybe as I walk down the isle-- something simple not much.
