Honestly if I wanted to be disrespectful.. trust me it would have been worded differently and I'd have had no problem posting it.

You could twist it to say I find it disrespectful and rude and inconsiderate to assume that I should somehow show extra effort to a religion I 'respectfully' disagree with. I may also find it tactless to say you don't care what I believe. But I don't. It's a freaking post about eating meat. Im not saying Mary was a whore. (now that borderlines being mean)

But frankly I don't care enough anymore to point out the obvious. I believe I explained myself thoroughly enough. If you disagree. I don't care. I won't take back what I said because I said what I meant. Frankly I find it silly to argue this at all.

Oh for crying out loud, Peewee. You seem to like making mountains out of molehills! No one said you shouldn't be offended. What was said is that no offense was meant, and therefore, whether you felt it or not, it was not the purpose behind the words. You can feel whatever you want - whether your feelings are justified or not is a different story, especially when someone states that they did not mean to offend you.

Besides, it's not that you don't GET to..you choose NOT to, to show respect to your religious beliefs and honor the time of contemplation (as I learned here on LIW). No matter what I say I've always believe the whole concept of lent was individual and religious in nature.

Hey, if you want to eat steak there's really nothing stopping you but your choice to follow a spiritual practice. For that, you should be proud and I applaud you. But at the same time it doesn't mean I can't take advantage of it. And by doing so I shouldnt be looked at as a 'Sinner' or a Catholic hater.
