I doubt it...if you put ADULT RECEPTION TO FOLLOW or adults only i dont think people are gonna bring them to the cocktail hour......leave and come back

Re: No Kids
Children are welcome at ceremony only
We request that the guests at our reception be adults only
We love children, but request the reception to be adults only. Thank you for your understanding.
Um gosh it is hard....

I wish I knew... I know it sounds harsh. But a few of the weddings i've been to in the past few years have had really loud children in attendance at the ceremony. A few had children so loud you could not hear the priest of the couple at all. That upsets me. Especially since the videographer was not allowed up by the couple in the church... i'd have to hear their video...

Re: No Kids
I've never gotten an invitation that seperated the cocktail hour and the reception like that... so you could do.. Adult reception to follow Time Place Address

yep that my biggest concern - i dont care so much about the actual reception but i dont wany any kids allowed in the ceremony room i dont think there will be any - but just the thought of it irks me....

Honestly i dont see people comming to the cocktail hour woth teir kids then leaving taking them home and comming back for dinner...if you put adutls only or adult reception to follow they should get teh idea...if people call you just let them know you are not going to have children at the RH. If they dont like it...oh well

Re: No Kids
it's funny cause i spoke with a couple that didnt want kids at the reception and people called them to ask if they could bring their kids and when the couple said no people would say 'why do you hate children' i know it was really stressful for them and i dont want to get cornered on the phone

Re: No Kids
if you get calls just explain to them you didnt budget for children in the wedding....you dont hate children you would just rather not have them running around at the wedding. Most should understand. lol

Re: No Kids
If it's going to be an issue, where you know people are going to ask about bringing their kids. I would write 'adult only reception'

Re: No Kids
normally you would write 'Adult reception immediately following'
