No Kids at the wedding
Hi Ladies. So i sent my invitations out last week and I am waiting for rsvps as well as questions on our no kids at the wedding policy. We listed adult only reception on the invitation as well as our website. There are so many kids in both our families we just decided to not have kids at the wedding other than our daughter who is 10 and possibly my fiances god daughter who is also my daughters best friend. We want someone for our daughter to have fun with.Did anyone have any issues not inviting kids to your wedding and how did you handle it? I have already been asked by one family member about kids. I'm kind of nervous to how people will respond. I have already expressed no kids to most people but there are some who may not know until reading the invitation.

I didn't book my venue yet, but i know I do not want kids. You should say something like you want them to enjoy the night off and have fun? thats what i will be telling people

To deal with this problem. I stated 'adult only/ no children reception' on the reception card. On the RSVP card I also put I reserved 2 adults seats in your honor. I hope they get the point!

No Kids at the wedding
We knew we did not want to have children at our wedding and my husband and I reached out to our friends way in advance so they could find a sitter for their children as well as to have a date night for themselves. Luckily it all worked out. We only had one family member take offense and did not attend our wedding and she is 99 years young.

I was wondering how to go about this as well. We are having a ring bearer and flower girl in our wedding and since the ceremony and reception are at the same place, we aren't sure how to tell them to go home, so we are letting them stay. I'm just worried how it's going to go since both the ring bearer and flower girl have siblings who will be around 2-3 years old.

Don't worry, the 2 and 3 year old at our reception slept through the whole thing, lol.

I am not inviting any children under the age of 16 because it would just be too many kids running around and would bring my guest list up like 40 more people. (All of my cousins and future in-laws have like 2 or more kids, each!) So, I am only having my 3 year old niece (who will be my flower girl) and my 8 year old future nephew in law (ring bearer) to be part of the wedding.

Inner envelopes work great for this kind of thing, so people know who exactly is invited. If you wanted just the couple, you write Mr. and Mrs. Smith. If you wanted the family there, you write, The Smith Family, or individual kids names.Inner envelopes mean extra money, but it could bring piece of mind.

No Kids at the wedding
From the beginning my FH and I decided to include kids. We have a 4 year old and there are kids on both ends of our families. Our invitations just went out yesterday and there's a section for number of kids. My bridal shower was no kids and there were issues with that. So we're glad we won't have the same issues my bridesmaids had.

We will only have 3 kids at our reception - who are in our bridal party. From what we have heard from our friends with Kids - they are excited to have a sitter for the night, and enjoy some time out as adults. We will be putting adult only reception on the reception card.

I think it is defiantly a personal choice of course. They only children I am having at mine is my flower girl and ring bearer ( It is my niece and nephew) I just feel they are a little distracting and it should be a chance for the parents to let loose and have fun without worrying about their children all night (especially if there are drunk people lol =)Welcome New Vendors
