NO matchy matchyy bridesmaid dresses

so i'm really thinking of telling my bridesmaids a color (-lite yellow-) and then they can pick ANY dress they want in lite yellow- so all the dresses would be different- lengths,fabrics,shades,and shilouttes.
Has anyone done this? How did it turn out>?
any pics to see how it looks would be a GREAT help...

yes i would narrow it down to one designer and one swatch and let them go from there

thats what i would do too--having them wear just a lite yellow might look off in pics cause what might be a lite yellow to one may be darker to another.

go with the same designer and color and let them select whatever they want from there

Ok ODD one out of the bunch .. I say do what you want.. go with the color you want and who cares if it is chiffon or silk...
I think it is nice to have all different hues - that would not bother me at all -infact it could be real interesting not to mention different. Different I love.

i love the idea

girls made a good suggestion to use the same designer...will also help the girls from going nuts looking for a dress.

IM LETTING MY GIRLS GET WHATEVER STYLE DRESS THEY WANT SO THEY ARE ALL COMFY. JUST THE SAME COLOR & DESIGNER.

I went to davids bridal told them it had to be wine colored and they can choose any dress they wanted!

ohhhhhhhhh great idea browneyesncute- that way they'll be the same color- even if they're not- i dont mind different shades- but at least they'll have alot of choices at davids bridal- i'm gonna check that out- thanks for your help

My girls are wearing same floor lenght, same material and same color. Two of my girls are wearing the same designer and one is not, but since the dresses are black it doesn't really matter.

I think you should have them wear different styles, but same designer and material. Also, depending on your girls....it might be easier for them. Some girls have difficulty when you leave the choices too open.... believe it or not You will think it will make it easier, but it doesn't
