no math skills :-)

hi guys!
i have no math skills whatsoever!
i'm pretty sure i'm gonna do those silver tins with mints in them as a favor. the tins are 2 inches in diameter... problem is... i want to get some of the personalized ribbon to tie around it, but i have NO CLUE how much ribbon to buy.... have any of you ever done these before? how many inches of ribbon do you need to tie around each tin?

You are going to need about 6 1/4' to go around the tin...but extra if you are going to make a bow.
