FH told me he hates it when he is at a party/wedding and the MC is constantly talking on the mic and he doesn't want one for our wedding. Do you think it would be ok to have just a DJ at the wedding with no MC? also, how much would just the dj cost? I plan to start pricing things out later this month, but want a heads up first. TIA!!!!!

Just having a DJ is def less money.
The MC kind of announces everything, like the first dance, cake cutting, entrance of bridal party etc.
Its really up to you, i'm gonna have one.
Just tell the company you pick you don't want anyone too obnoxious lol

We didnt have one for the same reasons! Our DJ did all the announcements and it was great!

Our dj acted as an MC as well and we thought it was great! We used Frank from FM Entertainment... We got alot of add ons, but I think the basic dj package was around 800-1000

We're not having an MC either. We decided having just a DJ would be perfect for what we're looking for.
For just the DJ i agree, the price is aroun 800-900.

yea i dont think you need an MC and im def sure it be less money...i do think most dj's have that in their package im sure you can talk to them about it

We have a one man DJ/MC...basically he'll DJ and then do all the announcements and small stuff...but won't be overbearing like an MC all up in people's faces and annoying.
