No middle names on invitations?

No middle names on invitations?

FH's middle name is Angus, and he doesn't like it very much (it was almost his first name, thank goodness FMIL & FFIL changed their minds on that one!)....we want both parents names on the invite, even though my parents are paying for basically the whole thing, but no middle names for us....any suggestions of good wording? I feel like a lot will look funny with just first names.....

....he did say 'if absolutely necessary' Angus could be on there, but he doesn't really want it hehe...

You can do it with first names.... a popular one that i have seen in invitation places is

Mr. and Mrs So and so (your parents)
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Jane
to
John
son of
Mr and Mrs So and so

It won't look funny at all. I contemplated this because I hate my middle name also. You don't HAVE to have middle names on the invites though, don't worry.

I don't even have a middle name, so I obviously won't have one on there! I dont think it will look weird at all.

I am so glad you asked this question...I am so unsure about whether to use middle names or not, technically we do not ever go by them, but I see it often...I have a feeling when it comes time to word our invites, I will need some help

I think it is kind of more formal to use middle names, but you really don't HAVE to. No one would think it's odd if you didn't. Alot of people don't have middle names anyway.

My MOH used middle names on their invites, which her hubby was opposed to originally. FYI, his middle name is Engelbert. After they went out though, he liked that they had used it.

If your FH is really opposed to it, I see nothing wrong with using first names only.

I dont think its necessary. My parents never gave me a middle name and on the invite I put My FH' s first middle and last. It looked fine.

That's what I was thinking, that it's more formal, and I'm kind of sad that it won't be more formal....also, my name is Nicole and FH is Nick (well it will be nicholas at least) so it always just sounds so cutesy....which is fine, but it makes it seem even less formal to me.....am I being crazy?

I did middle initial no the full name only because fh didn't know how to spell his middle name correctly until he just got his birth cert the other month IoI

Could you put first initial of middle name?

MY FH's first and last names are already so long and his middle name is not small by any means, so we're just doing his midle initial.

I don't have a middle name ...always wanted one...

I dont have a middle name.

We did a formal save the date, and FH refused to have his middle name on it.

Its Lee Eric, so its not like its a bad name or anything.

But i guess since i dont have one, its just better to leave it out for both
