My son refused his binky early yesterday morning and again at nap time at school? He went all day without it and then again at bedtime which he ALWAYS wants his binky. Does this mean that this could be it for the binky? We had no problems weaning him from his bottles. He actually told me he wanted his cups. I can't believe it.... my little man is so grown already!

Re: No more binky?
My daughter never wanted a binky so I don't know the answer, but sounds to me like great news.

It's sad in a way because that 'stage' is ending, but in a way it's great! So many people have such a hard time weaning their children from the binky. Sounds like you have a great little man

Just be happy he is giving the Binky up now and not when he is 5. I was a little sad too when James stopped taking the Binky...but I think thats because he was only 4 months old.

Re: No more binky?
Actually I want my son to give his binky up soon in fear of him using it till his 5...lol but I can totally understand why this is sad for you!! I was told by my son's pediatrican to get him off the bottle and binky at his 12 month check up and luckily I didnt have to wean him off the bottle, he was glad to give it up and drink from his sippy cup but the binky is another story, he loves that thing!
