FH was just hanging out with a cousin of his and he told fh that the other cousins have really been b!tchin about the 'no kids' policy we're trying to go by. We had spread the word from the very beginning and addressed the invites to only the adults.
One of his cousins has been complaining that he wants to bring his 3 kids (1-7 yrs in age) even though he didn't bring them to a wedding we had last weekend that didn't mention a thing about not bringing kids.
But here's the better one. The cousin he was speaking with told him that his sister said she was responding '3' because she wants to bring the terror of a 9 yr old she has but won't be bringing her younger boy. He said she's doing it to be a wiseass and to see if she can get away with it. Is that necessary?? She can very well leave BOTH boys with her in-laws, why bother trying to argue with us?

People are so immature. You are not inviting kids period, and she is not going to 'get away with it' - it's not like she is sneaking in a pack of gum to a classroom!!!! If she has a problem with it, she can not come, right? How rude of people!!!
I pray I do not have this problem. but I probably will ...

we had a couple of fh's cousins all rsvp by themselves without their husband bc of our no kid policy. The funny thing is that our e-party nobody brought their kid and it wasnt a problem for somebody to watch them

We'll actually be seeing her this weekend for a b-day party and he's gonna try addressing it there before we even get the rsvp.
I mean, we've been saying no to all these kids and then we'll just let her bring one of her kids? If she had absolutly no one to sit her kids then fine, but her in-laws are taking her younger son so there is no excuse.

People are ridiculous! My neighbor complained that we said no kids to our eparty, bc she wanted her grandkids to come...and then she said it was a wonderful time she got to spend with just her daughters and their husbands with no kids interrupting. DUH
Plus, do they realize I would have to pay $100 for thier kids to eat chicken fingers!!??

haha i just dont understand that...you can find a babysitter to go out to a movie and dinner or a night out with another friend but you cant find one for our wedding i just dont get people sometimes...
and well i know i am going to have a prob we lowered our children invited age from 20 + to 17 + because of some cousins and my aunt and grandma giving us a problem. But I know my aunt who did give us a problem she has 3 kids and the 2 daughters are the oldest they are invited and i know they are going to rsvp with my uncle and 2 cousins so my aunt can stay home with her younger son who is 11 bec oh they cant find a babysittter bec the girls were invited to the wedding- even though they b*tched about them having to be invited

people get insulted as if you are saying i dont like your kid and dont want your kid specifically there its ALL kids, and what pisses me off even more is my dad says to me that its good they are doing this and we deserve it since we said no kids i got so pissed off, i told him then he could pay the extra $5k it wouldve cost us to invite them. People will have something to say no matter what, if people cant respect your wishes and just think about celebrating with you and want to act this way then that is their problem for acting like that and in the end should feel horrible for making it about them.

Re: no need for drama...
Also with 50 kids at a wedding that becomes a zoo im sorry. Ive been to events with that many kids and its too much. Parents do NOT take care of their kids at these events. SO many parents in the past have pissed me off and are so inconsiderate. I remember one ceremony where the kid was just crying non-stop, you seriously could not even pay attention to anything going on bc you had this kid just screaming so loud, and the parents wouldn't take him out. It was so rude and distracting. Another time at a reception there were alot of kids, again didnt hear speeches or anything bc one little girl stood right next to the people talking and was just histerically screaming and had a circle of kids right next to her running around playing in the middle of the dance floor. Not one parent got up to get their kids. When ppl tried to dance at first, it was hard and they had to all go on one side bc this big group of kids were laying on the floor, running all around and kept bumping into people

i completely agree and i was going to say that as well...it's like people think we dont want THEIR kid there or don't like their kid. It's not that it's just that ALL kids are not invited. Why should i have to pay $85-90 for your child to eat chicken fingers and run around chasing each other while the cake is out in the open as well as drinking adults and i don't need about 30 little kids (bec i have ALOT of younger cousins) running around JT distrurbing other weddings or the workers- bec god knows my family doesn't watch their children.
The only child at my wedding is my 10 yr old brother! but people think since he is there i should allow other children- HELLO HE IS MY F*CKING BROTHER. I feel like GOD what the heII is wrong with people sometimes haha

sorry the bridezilla in me would come out if that was my wedding. i would get the microphone and tell the parents to calmt heir children down and have them sit during this time or ask them to take their child out of the room- how rude can people be
plus...why would parents want theie 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 year olds there. dont they want to get out for a night and enjoy themselves. my mom tells me all the time she was so happy when she had a wedding invitation and just her and my dad went. and i dont believe in the bullsh*t of saying oh well my baby is only a month old or 3 weeks---my mom had TWINS the week before my aunts (on my dads side) wedding and my mom was in it, left the babies and me and my brother home with my Nana and aunt and she was breastfeeding-- she did NOT see a need fro them to be there...why do people care so much about this?? lol it says no kids, say oblige or dont come

so frustrating if people can not respect or be considerate of your decision then why bother attending - they shouldnt put you or fh on the spot -stay firm with your decision!
