My wedding is July and so I ordered open toed sandal like shoes for the wedding. I wasn't planning on wearing panty hose or anything. Then at work the other day, this girl, who is also getting married in July, said that her dress place said not to get open toed because the toes are the only part of the bride's foot that shows. Is this true? Did I do a bad thing? Will I look tacky in my open toed shoes? (Better make sure I'm pedicured)
Edited for spelling like a kindergatner

I'd were open toe too! I am actually thinking of wearing flip flops!! I am getting married in august and it is going to be HOT! And I want to be as cool, relaxed and comfortable as possible. Besides, who is really going to see your feet?

I don't see any problem with that! I don't plan on any of my foot showing anyway.

I totally think open toed shoes are the way to go!!!!!!
ESPECIALLY in the summer! (mine too, and i'm NOT NOT NOT wearing stockings, i HATE them! )
Not a big fan of the french pedi, but a nice pedi will do!

I didn't think it would make a difference. Just wanted to see if I was the only one who never heard of this. Heck, I'd go barefoot if I could!

Re: No open toed shoes????
I am also getting married and july and I am wearing open toe shoes and if they is any issues about stocking you can wear sandal foot stockings, I have heard people talk about the bride for not wearing stockings because they can see you leg during the garter toss

Open toed shoes are fine! Just don't wear bright red nail polish - no one wants to see your tootsies that badly

Not that I bought shoes or anything yet, but plan on wearing open toe shoes with no stockings...I'll probably have a nice French pedicure done.

Ohhh, I'm actually wearing flip flops! Most shoes are too narrow for my feet and end up hurting right away, which makes me miserable. So I'm going the comfortable route, and not even bothering with 'real' shoes. My mom was a little upset at first, but after I explained myself she came around.
