So about a yr ago my FH's grandma spoke to her pastor about our wedding and he agreed to marry us for free...all he said was for us to contact him 5mths prior to the wedding so we can talk about the ceremony. So FH calls today and it turns out the pastor is now retired and doesn't practice anymore therefore he cannot marry us ...FH's grandma said there is a new pastor at her church and she will talk to him on Sunday (but there is no guarantee)...I feel so sad now...any suggestions?

ETA: It doesnt have to be a pastor..I was just happy that he wasnt going to charge us...we were going to just give a donation..

Our town clerk is coming to marry us for $75...FH's sister got ordained but it's not accepted by our township...so we need someone to come & just make it legal...FSIL will do the ceremnony & the clerk will do whatever is necessary to make it legal...Check with your local marriage license office...i am sure they have a list of local clerks, judges, etc who can marry you for very little! good luck!
