I am a little annoyed. I was so excited to meet with a few florists to compare prices and see what they have to offer...
Well, I called and left messages for both Laurie from LA Blossoms and George from Signature and guess what? Neither called me back! It's been a week. I don't think I should call them back if they wanted the business wouldn't they contact me???

I totally agree with you. Plus I think it is a sign of rudenesss not to return a call. Sorry you had to experience this.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I've met with both of them, and they are my current finalists for florists. I have two more appointments before I make a final decision. As much as I like them both, I blew off a different florist for the same reason - not returning a phone call, so I can't advise you to call them again. In Laurie's defense though, I will say she has kids and works out of her home, so maybe something came up and she just hasn't had a chance yet.

FYI, Laurie had emailed me to find out if I was going to use her on my wedding day because she had someone else who was interested. I told her that I found someone else. So I think she may be booked on your day and maybe that's why she isn't returning your call. But I think it's still polite to return calls even if it's to say that your already booked. Good luck.

I had a similar situation with a liquor store. I told him I wanted a specific type of wine as favors, that I would need 70-80 bottles. He never called me about it. These people are stupid. They spend all this money on advertising and then throw it away by not calling me back. Their loss.

I went through the same with a few vendors. I never looked back after not pursuing them.

The same thing happened to me. I called both and neither returned my call after a few days. But I was persistant. I sent Laurie another inquiry and I called George again. Laurie finally called me back and left me a message that she was already meeting with someone who had my date but if she's not interested she'll call me back to schedule an appt. And with George, I called the shop again and just scheduled an appt with whoever answered the phone this time. I didn't speak to George until the day of our appt. Needless to say, I met George a few days later and booked him. Laurie never even had the courtesy to call me back and say sorry the other bride booked. Try George again. You will be VERY happy.
