No rehearsal if your getting married at a hall????
FSIL told me last night that she's never heard of rehearsals being done when getting married at the hall.
And then she said that she didn't think my hall did a rehearsal because she has a friend who works there...
Her friend tells her, 'theres really no need.' Um... There is a need! So my bridal party and I know what to do!
I was under the impression I was having a rehearsal...

It could go either way. A lot of times the rehearsal is run through quick right before the ceremony.
We called the VYC and they said some people do it, some don't and they gave us the options of when we can come in and 'rehearse.' It's awkward time so we are probably going to do a dinner wherever to give out gifts and such, and do a quick run down on who is walking when before we eat.
That's what I'm afraid of... It being a time where no one can be there. Theres not point but I wish there was a set rehearsal =/

Crashing. I was in a wedding where we did the rehearsal about a half hour before the ceremony after we took pictures at the rh. Also there was no rehearsal dinner the bride gave us our gifts at the hotel as we were getting ready.

My hall said it was optional. There will be no time before the ceremony to have a quick rehearsal so I thin we are doing one. Besides my FMIL is excited to plan a rehearsal dinner.

Crashing... I'm in a wedding later this year and she is getting married at her venue. It's a Friday night wedding and we are rehearsing on Thursday and doing a dinner after. You may just have to do a rehearsal during the week.

I agree, we are having a RD, but at a restaurant. I'm thinking of just giving everyone the timeline, and gifts at the RD. Let them know who they are walking with and just mingle.

This is what I'm doing. I'm using Pastor April and she gave me a layout on my ceremony of where everyone stands. I'm just printing that up nicely for them with a timeline of when to be where! It's really simple, the guys stand there and the girls just walk down the aisle. Then they are basically done!

This makes me nervous too, but I was told we'd have a quick run-through earlier in the day. I would definitely prefer an actual rehearsal, but it would be difficult to schedule with my RH and its not included in the package with my officiant. I am still having a rehearsal dinner to give gifts and thank everyone for being a part of our wedding. Hopefully, my DOC can help and I can give them some directions at the rehearsal.
