No rhyme or reason to what gifts I get!

Some super close friends give nothing or next to nothing and people we don't know give ridiculously generous gifts (someone I never met and my parents met last year gave us a $200 engagement gift, a $250 shower gift and who knows what she'll give for the wedding!) It isn't even related to how much money people have.

Don't get me wrong - I don't expect lavish gifts from people. I'm just shocked at people's generosity and that others who are really wealthy and very close friends give an $8 shower gift or $30 wedding gift).

I know! People are so strange. I can't keep track between the people who tell that I registered for too much expensive stuff and otehrs who tell me that there is nothing nice to buy on my registry????

Ive had people tell me that I didnt register for 'Big enough' things. Did they READ my 3 foot long list???

You're right... there is no rhyme or reason to how some people give gifts... which is all the more reason never to make high expectations about what you might, or can receive. You could just be setting yourself up for disappointment, or a shocker... lol.
