i know this sounds weird...but try icy hot!
i got bit last thursday night and usually i swell up. i had a wedding this wknd so i was not a happy camper. anyway, i put on icy hot immediately...and ive been using that since and it totally has helped! its like a miracle!

You can wear it on a necklace for the time being, so that you can still have it on to some degree.
