Has anyone heard of not having an RSVP date on their invites? I know someone getting married that is doing this bc the invite woman told her its 'rude' to put a date and looks tacky, etc etc. and people should know to rsvp soon.
I think this is crazy!?!? Anyone hear of this? doing this? if so, did it work out well?

That is one of the craziest things I have ever heard -- I totally agree with you! People use RSVP dates on everything, since when is it rude or tacky??? What is rude and tacky are the people who blatently ignore the date and never respond at all, until you call looking for them. Crazy....

Glad we all agree to go with the RSVP dates :) we have better things to worry about than waiting around for people to respond!

Peapl do NOT know to RSVP. They are stupid and rude and have no idea how much brides rely on that.

I have NEVER heard of anything like that before. I don't care if its 'tacky', unless the bride wants to be pulling her hair out there has to be a RSVP date!

I actually was invited to a wedding that had online RSVP and they didn’t put a date on the little card they included.
She invited 250 people to her wedding and had to hound down about 200 of them. So no, it didn’t end well. Her wedding is next weekend and she’s still waiting on 20.

My friend didn't have a RSVP on hers, but she only invited about 50 people...so I'm assuming she regularly speaks to them and knew whether they were coming or not. It seems ridiculous in any other situation.

That's insane its hard enough to get people to RSVP when there is a date. I'm sure its next to impossible to get them to do it when there isnt a date. I don't think it tacky to have a date I think its brilliant since people wind up have to track people down anyway you atleast have a start date to track

a friend of mine whois muslim could not put them on her wedding invites because in her culture (she was afghany) it would look rude. but she had so many problems with not putting one on there that i would never do it!
