No shot policy???

Hey Ladies,
I read online that Tall Grass CC has a NO SHOT POLICY. Since it is Lessings owned is this true for all Lessings properties? Is this a common practice for RH's?

i think a lot of halls are leaning towards the no shot policy, to kind of make sure they cover theirselves for liablity.

people tend to get a little bit more drunk than usual at weddings---especially if the drinks are free, so i'm sure RHs don't want ppl getting wasted with lots of shots and then driving home.

definitely a question you should ask to all halls you look into.

I notice that most RH have a no shot policy. Mine does as well. In fact I was at a wedding a few weeks ago and some of my friends were doing shots but at a certain time the bartender cut them off for shots.

I have heard of people swindling shots if they ask the bartender to put the liquor on the rocks.

But most places do not allow.

People were taking shots at my wedding, but I am in the midst of planning DH's surprise 30th and a lot of the places I have looked at have a 'no shot policy' this is new to me, but apparently very common.

I believe all Lessings have a 'no shots' policy. They definitely did at Timber Point, and I think I remember being told it was true for all Lessings properties.

I was going to look at Hamlet Willow Creek until FH read that and he refused to even go look

i dont know.. but i have to say I like that policy.

IMO when people start doing shots it becomes like a mini get together in that area and the focus is no longer on the wedding they are attending. I dont think I would want that at my wedding. On top of that... the possibility of having 'drunken' issues is more likely.

Our hall does not have a no-shot policy but we are asking them to institute one for our wedding.

We have some relatives and friends who do start to get rowdy when they do shots, and so we don't want any of them to embarrass themselves or cause a scene at our wedding.

I totally agree. I don't know if my RH has that policy but they will on the day of my wedding.
