no-show at my shower - do I say something?

Original post by Munchkn16

A friend from work said she was coming to my shower this weekend. She was the only no-show. (No phone call that day or at any point, no card, no nothing...). She's at work today, though I haven't seen her yet. Do I say something?

yeah - just don't make it come across as an attack - I'd be more like 'what happened saturday? we missed you!'

Agreed! I had a friend no show at our eparty and this is what I did.

Update: Spoke to her at lunch today. She says she was really sick (she was out of work a day or two last week) and I guess I believe her... I don't want to think she intentionally forgot or just decided against going. She didn't mention anything about my gift, which I thought was strange. (If you had every intention of going to a shower and couldn't at the last minute, you'd have bought something, right? )

I just hope she doesn't do that at the wedding! I

I'm glad you spoke to her. I hope she doesn't do the same thing to you for your wedding.

I'd say something like skank, don't even think about showing your face at my wedding. Try that.

OMG< you almost made me spit my water out.

Eh , unless she was hospitalized ( in a COMA) - godforbid- she should have called , no excuse that she was sick , a phone call is 30 seconds. That being said, I would take it for what it is , and not give it too much thought .

If she pulls that crap for your wedding, well you can always call her a skank ( as another jess suggested) afterward.

Seriously. It's very therapeutic.
