she is planning it just in time for hurricane season to kick off don't worry, if FH's family is any indication, no one will want to travel for a second wedding. they're virtually ignoring FSIL's boston wedding bc it's not her first.

That really *****. Sorry you are going through so much trouble with the fam the last few days.
It ***** when other people always need to be in the spotlight-I am going through this with my Mom so I totally understand.

Hehe. I know how you feel. My wedding is in January and my sisters wedding is in March. I just got engaged this past December. She, however, has been engaged for almost 3 years. Sounds a little fishy to me.

Don't worry honey, you'll have the better wedding.

Listen, I have given this advice to other friends who have gotten married and who were upset because family/friends weren't as involved and the truth is, NO ONE except you and FH (and sometimes it will seem like not even him!) will be as excited for the wedding as you are!!

but I promise Lauren, your sister probably loves youo deeply and is probably unaware of her lack of interest because shes busy being in love.

Whoa! You are taking this very well. I am a spiteful b*tch so what I would do is plan my honeymoon the week of her destination wedding and be look 'Ooops, sorry can't go!' Seriously though- I don't think it's fair to plan a wedding within a month when you both have the same relatives. It's not fair to them and she should be more considerate. Can anyone talk to her to have her possibly change it? Even though she is doing it after yours, still- I don't think it's right.
