NoFo Restaurants after the wineries?

NoFo Restaurants after the wineries?

I'm trying to help plan a bachelorette party out on the North Fork. I've been to the wineries & we know which ones we'd like to visit, but I hardly ever eat dinner out there. We want something nice (not too stuffy/fancy; not too casual) but not too far east since we'll be heading back to Nassau. Does anyone have any reviews/info on these restaurants: Legends, Red Door, or a Touch of Venice? I love the Seafood Barge, so that might be a possibility too. Any other ideas? TIA!

I've been to Red Door... not crazy about it, from what I can remember.

www.northforktrolley.com

they come and pick you up and take you to a bunch of different wineries and a restaurant... it depends on which plan you choose but you can look at all the different types they have on the website! it's great b/c you don't have to worry about driving--one plan has the trolley pick you up at a house and drop you back off!

they name restaurants on there.. i dont know about the ones you listed but the ones the trolley company goes it are great!!

Jerry & the Mermaids on East Main St Riverhead. On Friday and Saturday nights they have Karaoke on the deck (it's located in a marina however they have sea nad land food). It's a great little place with excellent food and fair prices.

Of your choices, legends would probably be the most fun it is 1/2 sports bar, 1/2 restaurant

I LOVE the Frisky Oyster, but we want to head more towards home rather than driving all the way to the end for dinner. I might head out to the Oyster on Saturday since I'll be out east!

I love Frisky Oyster, but it is definitely not on the way home!

I've been to Legends and the food was great - they had grilled alligator on the menu when I was there and a beer called Aas (which was pronounced 'a$$') - the guys couldn't resist and ordered it - 'We'd like a round of A$$ for the table please.'

I've also been to Fauna, which is right on the main road and the food there is wonderful. The front bar area is a little casual but the dining room is more fancy. Good luck!!

Unfortunately Fauna is now closed. I think they are reconstructing the building into an insurance agency. No restaurant that ever occupied that space has ever done well.

I love Jamesport Country Kitchen. It's small, but the food is amazing and the service is great.

Oh, I should've said this before: we'll probably be a group of about 15-17 girls, so we'd definitely need a place with some room! Even if it means just shoving some tables together!

Ooops, sorry! Jamesport Country Kitchen would definitely be too small for you, then. What about Coeur des Vignes in Southhold or the Loft in Greenport?

I heard that Coeur de Vignes closed...is that true?

Oh, no, really??? That was a great place. I haven't been back in the North Fork since our wedding, so I don't know whether it's closed or not.

Yep, I just did a search and it is closed. I guess that narrows the search

I've been super helpful for you, haven't I? A too-small restaurant and a closed one. Sorry!!!
