I second that. I don't have them, but have used them.

Re: Noise Canceling Headsets
When I flew to California last December the guy sitting net to DF and I had them and he let us try them. OMG, they were amazing. You could not hear almost any engine noise. DF had to tap me to get my attention. If you are going to buy them, I would definitely get these. I have used headphones before, but nothing compares to the Bose noise canceling headphones IMHO. They are really expensive.

I'm going to school now and I am reading textbooks on the train (yeah, riveting) and I find that people on cell phones, loud talkers and snorers are distracting me. It would be an investment but I would be willing to make it. Any idea how much?

I think they are about $350. I am not sure about stores that sell them, perhaps amazon?
Wow, that is expensive..I was thinking $150 the most would be my limit.

Re: Noise Canceling Headsets
I bought ones for FH for Christmas last year for about $200. They were by a company named Shure (sp?). They had ones in all different prices, the ones I got were in the middle. FH is an audio engineer and he said these are the best brand, and that bose isn't as good as everyone thinks they are.. (thats his opinion though, don't want to offend any bose fans out there!) I got them on Amazon.
