Non-church wedding - do we throw anything like petals or rice?

Hi Everyone! Ok, so here's the dilemma between 'everyone else with an opinion' & me - We're having a Sun evening ceremony at Fox Hollow (5:30pm ish) & the CH & Reception immediately following. Every wedding I've been to was in a church & they threw something like petals or rice when the bride & groom exited the church to go off to the reception. Is this also done for a wedding at a catering hall? If the weather is nice it will be in the gardens but if not it will be in our reception room, the Garden Terrace. I want to have something thrown but can't figure out when to do it & don't want my guests to be confused.

We're having the guest blow bubbles as we walk down the aisle versus having anything thrown at us

We are making ribbon wands. They will either be used as we walk back up the aisle or when we leave the reception.

Make sure to ask fox hollow what is allowed! I am having my ceremony in a garden and they said only bird seed!

We're going to give rose petal cones to all of the people sitting on the aisles to toss after they pronounce us husband and wife.

we had the wehn to do it written into our ceremony - and we are throwing freeze dried rose petals and blowing bubbles out in the gardens too - i was told you throw it when you are leaving the garden
