Non-Floral Centerpieces

Hey all! I posted this over in '07 Brides as well, but thought I'd ask you crafty women - any ideas for non-floral centerpieces? What have you guys done that's worked? We want short centerpieces but other than that I'm totally open to suggestion!

What about using some sort of fruit? My Grandmother had this rod iron tier that holds apples(or any small fruit). I thought it was the custest thing i've ever seen. It held about a dozen small apples.

Well what we are doing is photo centerpieces-using a bunch of different picture frames and then clustering them together with bud vases in the middle that we will fill with two or three gerber daisies in red, orange and pink. The photos will be of my fiance and I through our courtship and also as kids.

I'll attach images of the mockups we have but please keep in mind these are not the kinds of flowers we will use (these I just had on hand to see how they would look with florals in them) and the pics will be of us.

...OK I keep trying to upload the pics but they won't show...If anyone wnats to seem them just send me a message with ur email.

Another idea is to take large frames and frame the story of how you and your honey met, fell in love and decided to tie the knot. The frames if silver or mirrorred glass would loook amazing with votives scattered around.

What about naural twigs or artificial branches arranged in a vase with some sort of ornament hanging off of it, depending of what time of year your wedding is. If you give me more feedback, I can prob come up with an idea off the top of my head.
