Non floral Centerpieces

How many of you are not havinf floral centerpieces? I want to do candles with some rose petals around them. The only thing is I'm not sure how to set them up on the actual day of my wedding since I will be getting ready and my closet friends who I would trust are in my bp. Does the reception hall set them up for me? Also if you have pics of what you are doing post them please! Thanks ladies!

I am in the same boat. I am having a vineyard theme. I want to have a hurricane vase with a pillar candle inside...and fresh grapes inside going around the bottom of the hurricane. Problem is...do I really want to go around shopping for grapes the day before my wedding? And...who will set them up?

This (picture) is my alternative plan...but the fake rose petals look a little cheesy. I guess the Maitre D' would set them up?

I am not doing floral...I am doing tall hurricanes with candy and a thick white candle in it...there will also be tall tapers and small tea lights on the tables....the lighting from them should be really romantic

Yea I agree I want to have a romantic elegant feel to the room and I think the candle light will provide that.

I am doing some non-floral and my florist is setting everything up for me but, I was told you can have someone do them for you or the RH should do them for you as well.

Thanks! I guess I should touch base with my reception hall.

I'm doing three hurricane goblets with rose petals strewn on the tables...I may ask for tea lights as well, but I'm not sure yet.

A normal RH will probably set it up for you. Most girls who are doing these are having their RH do it. I'm having my florist do it because I'm also having petals, and my RH wouldn't do it without a fee

And son of a....they're on sale for $6 a set now!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH. WE BOUGHT THEM ON SALE FOR $12 A SET!!!!!!!!!!! UGGGGGGGGGGH I CAN'T LET FH FIND THIS OUT!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered them from Dillards.com because they've been the cheapest there, they're also available at BBB. They come in an amber bowl and a clear/gold as well. I just went for the red dramatics because of the December/Christmas thing lol. Glad I've been helpful!

I don't think the fake rose petals look cheesy. I like them a whole lot! I didn't even realize they were fake!
Also, the mirror is an awesome addition to this.. becuase it reflects a lot of the light from the flame and make it look like more.... I really like this pic!

UGH haha, FH just asked me what the Dillard's order came out to, and of course I was like um why...

turns out he just was going over his CC bill, but then he knew something was up, and I had to tell him He's not mad at me, but more like see this is what you get for rushing to do everything ugh.

the rh should do everything for you. mine just said to show them how to do one (but of course I have 3 different kinds) and they'll handle them.

i'm doing seaglass and candles- under my DIY album if you are interested

Hi Kimmie! That's great to know they'll help us set stuff up! I wanted to maybe consider doing non-floral centerpieces, too! THANK YOU!

I am having candel centerpieces and asked someone I know to come and set everything up for me. I am going to give them like 100 dollars just to make sure the room is set up like I want it. I wouldn't trust the RH to do it.
