I may do my rehersal on the day of, before the ceremony. If this is the case, what do we call the traditional rehersal dinner? A thank u dinner? I say eff it and let's save $$, but FH says 'that's not right'. Bleh.. soooo, what do I call it?

you can still call it a rehearsal dinner ... or pre-rehearsal dinner.
ps: FH and I aren't hosting one - it's not required, IMO (though it is very nice if you can swing one)

we didnt have an official rehearsal but still did a dinner. it was our way to thank everyone for being part of the wedding. we gave out all the gifts then as well.

Yes, this is what we want to do. A 'thank you' dinner. So we can give the gifts and hang out.

We are having a meet and greet the night before the wedding in our hotel's conference room. We got the room free with our hotel blocks. The room holds 50 people and we are getting all the food for the meet and greet at costco. We will be giving the wedding party their presents there and playing movies of us in there. We will also be giving all the guests there OOT baskets there. My Mom came up with the idea and I loved it!!!!!!!

Hey thats where mine is and i got the room for an even with no fee. If you are thinking about doing this talk to mike parikas not joanne. She is new and is not sure what she doing just yet.
Anyway, we are not having a RD since our finances dont premit but since we have the huuuge bridal suite the night before we are having food and drinks in the suite and will give out the gifts then. Our OOT bags will be given out as our guests check in
