Non-staining Bubbles
Where can you get them? How do you know they are non-staining? For example, Oriental Trading has bubbles 2dz for $5.95, but it doesn't say anything about being non-staining.

Non-staining Bubbles
Call their customer service and ask, or check out http://www.ultimatewedding.com. I ordered the wedding cake bubbles from them and they assured me they were non-staining. They also have lots of other styles to choose from. But your price sounds really good at Oriental.

Non-staining Bubbles
It does sound good, they are the plain jar bubbles, but I figured I'd dress them up a bit. My only reservation is that I used to work at a competitor of OT's and this stuff comes from China and is stored in a warehouse somewhere. The customer service rep will probably tell me whatever I want to hear. Unless they are selling them as non-staining, I'll bet they are not. But actually how many will actually land on me? Probably not too many with the wind and as long as the stain doesn't show up in pictures, I guess its not a big deal.

Non-staining Bubbles-worth it
Why get your dress or your BM dresses stained for the sake of a few bucks? After what we pay for wedding dresses these days?!! And you`d be surprised how many bubbles do land on you. I think it is worth it to make sure you get non-staining bubbles. Try Michaels or other craft places. Do a search on line at http://www.alicebluebridals.om or other similar sites.

What about the rice that is okay for birds to eat? *NM*
When we met with our Priest- he said we could throw rice if we wanted- I of course said 'don't birds blow up if they eat rice?'- he laughed and said he was glad I had said that. He then took out an article about birds eating rice. The article stated that birds have gizzards which grind up the rice before it enters their stomach and a bird would than have to eat lots of rice to make it a significant amount in their stomachs to effect them- then they would have to drink a lot of water in order to make the rice expand- which would take some time- and on top of that- birds relieve themselves very often- so most likely the bird would pass the 'mass quanities' of rice before the water could really react with it. It is possible- like anything but highly unlikely. Our Priest said that the whole birds exploding story was a great marketing ploy buy birdseed companies :)

That`s good to know but....
both rice and birdseed can be dangerous to walk on with dress shoes .. at least in my opinion. Plus, it`s very messy .. again, in my opinion.

We couldn`t have anything thrown so it never played a part in our wedding but I don`t think I would have wanted anyone pelting (or even gently tossing) stuff at me and my husband. Call me non-traditional, but the idea of rice or birdseed in your hair, in your veil, down your dress, possibly in your eyes and then your eye make-up running because your eyes are tearing...it just doesn`t sound enjoyable. I say stick with the rose petals or the bubbles.

Our church didn't allow rice or birdseed, so we went with the bubbles. We also got ours from ultimatewedding.com and they specifically said non-staining. They will land on you and your bridal party, and since you are off to take pictures right after that, you just don't need to take a chance. Things show up in pictures that you don't expect - for example, one of my bridesmaids dresses had large water spots on it because it started raining while we were taking our pictures and they show up in the proofs. You just want to play it safe. By the way, the bubbles look great in the pictures, much prettier than rice or birdseed in my opinion.Welcome New Vendors
