PS They told me they would not do Saturday appointments! It is really hard for me to get there on a week night!

I have recently checked out North Ritz and liked what I saw. -- I don't know anyone who has been a guet or a bride and I am looking for any feedback I can get. Can anyone help me? How is the food? the Service? Ida? Gus? etc. Do you know where I can read reviews? How are there vendors? PLEASE HELP!!!!

I went up there yesterday and spoke to Christina. I asked about covering the turnpike and building a bridge across the water. She said they are putting a white fence to cover the turnpike. It also looks like they are planting trees there. About the bridge, she seemed a little iffy. She said they are waiting for the permit. I personally don't think it is going to happen, but as long as the turnpike is covered I don't care.

The food is great, as well as the service ( so far). My friend went to a wedding and said that the service was great. They have been great to deal with so far as well. If you do a search on hear you will find some helpful info. I have never heard anything bad about them. (knock on wood).

wed2003 - I will be glad to help from my experience. I felt the same way as you when I was looking at them. Here is what I have heard..the place was totally different a few years back. When new owners took over, it closed down for a couple months and totally renovated. They are building their reputation and from what it sees it is quickly booking! (For the longest time I think it was me and vandemp as the only NRC brides on this board and now there are a lot.)

I went to my food tasting over a year ago and was very impressed. I even got a tour of the kitchen one day (after hearing an awful rumor) and it was very very clean.

I know they have been a pleasure to deal with. They promised a lot to me when I booked (june '01)and everything they promised came true in the timeframe they promised except for the covering of the highway. I have been pleased with them thus far.

I have my planning meeting this week. I hear there has been massive changes to the menu since i booked and I am wondering how I will get treated. I will keep everyone posted.

PS I haven't looked into any of their recommended vendors. When I booked they didn't really have a list. They mentioned a couple and gave me some flyers and that was it. I have picked all my own based on recommendations from this board and friends and family.

all of their recommended vendors have been calling our house. apparently they gave out our info., which we were disappointed about. we called and spoke to them and they promised it would stop but it has not. not a big deal though. we've been very happy with them otherwise.
