I went there the other day. They plan on putting up a white fence all around the proerty. Next store will be covered and the turnpike. This will be done by August.
I also saw the new table linens that can be upgraded, they are very nice...

Re: North Ritz Brides
You know that Gus owns that, right? It doesn't bother me because you can't even see it they have it blocked by trees. I think they did that so they would have more parking available for the diner and NRC.

They own the diner next door. The parking situation doesn't bother me. I always thought that it was more for NRC to use the diner parking lot rather than the other way around.

Okay i just saw the post about how much everyone was paying per person and saw two north ritz brides on there and it got me thinking....how much is the gratutity?? I could swear they told me 15% actually they wrote it on the menu ( this was 2 years ago though when I signed).

Re: North Ritz Brides
I believe it is now 18%. I got a little freaked out when I saw the post about how much are you paying because I saw a bride on there that is paying 10 bucks a head less than me! I am not going to tell FI!!

Re: North Ritz Brides
that's cool about the fence! I guess I am not as observant as i thought because i never even realized that there was a need for a fence. i had no idea that they (NRC) owned they diner too--I love that place and I'm so excited--i'm glad we booked it 2 years in advance because i think we got an awesome deal!

Re: North Ritz Brides
NRC gives you the place cards and the directional cards...I picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. Also, I was quoted 18% for gratuity BEFORE they add the tax.....did everyone else have the same?

Re: North Ritz Brides
NRC told us that they were audited last year, and told that they HAD to tax the gratuity from now on or else they would get in trouble. So they said that their policy is now to add the gratuity to the total amount to be taxed.
Please someone else tell me that they were told this as well!!!!!!

Re: North Ritz Brides
The mention of the fence not being up til August is really ******* me off! When we originally went, we were told itv woul dbe up by late spring the latest. Then when my parents came to see the place with us the day we signed the contract, my dad asked and he was also told late spring, it will definately be finished by your date (July 19), we are just waiting for the permit, blah blah blah. What liars!! I wouldn't be so ****ed about this if it weren't for the fact that our reception is 1:00-6:00. It is light out and will (hopefully) be nice in July, people will be outside, looking at the beautiful pond, chatting, eating, drinking, LOOKING AT THE VISIBLE MAVIS DISCOUNT TIRES SIGN!!!!!!!! I'm sorry, but that is so tacky! Especially, to tell people that are signing the contract that the fence will be up by their date!
Has anyone had a day wedding there in the summer? Does the bamboo do any good?
Sorry about the vent girls, but I am fuming! I am going to pick up my direction cards this week and you better believe they are going to get a piece of my mind!
Edited to add: Gus also told my father this teh night of the Bridal Showcase! Liars!

Re: North Ritz Brides
when i signed my contract last august they told me that they would be putting up trees not a white fence i would have perferred greenery rather than a white fence. i also am not very happy about this.

Re: North Ritz Brides
I'm just getting house florist flowers for ceremony. You do not get to pick those. I'm just having my DJ play tunes outside for ceremony, nothing special.
