North Ritz Club

Anyone recently have their wedding at the North Ritz Club? What cake flavor did you select and was it tasty? Is the food really as great as some people say?

The food is awesome! I wish I ate more of it! When you get there to the bridal suite, they had two hot chafing dishes of pastas and then brought two huge trays of appetizers. Everything was delicious.

Our guests could not stop raving about our cocktail hour and the dessert. Dinner was delicious too. I had the skirt steak (good sized portion) and hubby had the filet.

Best thing is that they pack you so much food to go. We got about 5 servings of entrees to take home and 2 boxes of the mini pastries and our cake top. It was so nice not to have to cook immediately after we got married!

We chose the yellow cake with custard filling with strawberries. It was fine. I've had bad cake (too sweet or dry), and this was fine..mild and light. We had the full Viennese dessert hour so the cake was totally secondary.

I printed out a picture of how I wanted it decorated, and they did a great job. I only wanted a simple cake with pearl drops on each border and fresh flowers as decoration.

Make sure you go to the tasting. The food is delicious there, and they totally replicate it on your big day!
