My wedding wasnt at NRC but it was at CB and it literally sits on Old Country Road, the sound, the cars, the signs-no one will notice it. With the chatter people wont hear the cars
I agree with the posters above who say that March and April will be too cold to do CH outside. The weather in these months are still chilly. Even if it's get nicer/a little warmer in April, it's still brisk, and you need to wear a jacket. So I'd say don't worry so much about having an outside CH hour, and if you like the rest of the place, then book it!
I agree, I don't think it will be too much of a problem because its only an hour and the bulk of your reception is going to be in that GORGEOUS ballroom! The only thing is that MArch and April might be a little chilly to have the CH outside...I would aim for at least May or June JMO
Location is very important to me and I don't like how across the street from the NRC is Burger King and it being off of JEricho turnpike. But I did go to a good friends wedding there a few months ago and it was great!! The food, service, and place was really nice!! It was in Nov. so we didn't spend much time outside, but they did do a nice job. So if you REALLY love the place I say go for it.
I was at wedding there last summer and while iot was nice, you could hear traffic and see signs. I had just gotten engaged so I was noticing EVERYTHING. I'm not sure if all the guests noticed these things.
I had all of my pictures taken outside and not one picture had anything visable from Jericho Turnpike. As for the noise, I dont remember thinking it was loud or anything, remember the outside isnt directly on Jericho Turnpike it's set further back. I don't think you'll run into any problems. I've never heard of anyone having a problem!
