North Ritz Club - tasting

Hi,
Is anyone getting married in North Ritz Club this year?
Have you done food tasting yet?
We stopped there yesterday and they said that tasting is not necessary since we’ve been there at some charity event.
I find it a little strange that we wouldn’t have tasting.

Fox Hollow doesn't do a formal tasting either, but they invited us to their restaurant and will take 50% off the bill. We can bring up to 6 people. :)

that's a little strange in my opinion.

I would do a tasting. I'm a fox hollow bride and we just took my parents and his to the fox hollow restaurant for restaurant week. The menu didn't offer our exact entrees but we got a sense of the staff, the food quality, and we snuck around the grounds. I would insist on a tasting, try a piece of every item you'll be serving and make sure what you taste that day is what served on your wedding day. You have every right.

That seems really strange to me. Most places offer you a tasting, whether it's formal or just attending a cocktail hour at an event they are hosting. We did out tasting before we signed our contract to make sure we liked the food!

I'm getting married at North Ritz. Speak with Nadine and ask for a food tasting (it’s amazing!). When we booked the venue back in March 2013, she scheduled our tasting a few weeks after that. Due to things coming up, we had to reschedule a few times and finally had our food tasting Jan 2014. They never gave me a problem with rescheduling so many times and even let me bring an extra person (my MOH) to the tasting!

Some news: I called and Spoke with Nadine and she just told me that the next tasting is next week and we should come. It wastn' an issue at all. The whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth - they knew that there will be a tasting when we were there but completely ditched us. My FH agrees - since they got all the deposits from us - they lost interest in making us happy. I hope everything works out and my worries are just worries/
