Dh and I were actually looking into that one for our 1 year anniversary, that or other cruises that leave out of NY or NJ going to Bermuda. Would love to know any info.
We had been to Bermuda on a cruise before but there were other excursions also so we were in Bermuda for just a day, ive been wanting to go back and stay longer, Bermuda is GORGEOUS.

I think that there are 2 other cruises from NY(Brooklyn and jersey) to Bermuda starting 2010. Celebrity and Holland America are going to start doing cruises to bermuda in April 2010. Wanna go on a cruise because so terrified to fly. Actually have never been on a plane---i have a major phobia

my parents went on the dawn a few yrs ago on their first cruise... they absolutely loved it.... thought the ship was beautiful and huge... they went to Fl and bahamas though on it....
one thing about bermuda... if you've never been on a cruise before and not sure if you'll get sea sick... i have 1 warning... crossing the atlantic to get to bermuda can be a bit rocky at times... my first cruise was to bermuda and granted it was on a smaller ship, but we were def swaying alot from side to side... otherwise, the island is gorgeous and i highly recommend going there bc its like a land vacay in that you usually stay there for a few days... when the ship moves to another port in bermuda, you can always catch up to the ship if you miss it...

So funny this cruise was brought up. My grandparents are avid travelers. They go all over the world. Anyway, I asked my grandpa for honeymoon suggestions and he raved about Norweigan Dawn. He sent me a photo album all about his trips there. He goes every year! It's his favorite cruise. We are really considering it.

can you ask about average age on the cruise, ive heard others say on the Norwegian you have a bit of an older crowd. I had went on crown princess and lots of ppl around our age in their 20's or even early 30's.

in regards to ages. it depends on the time of year you go. the last cruise i went on was last month.. there were bout 300 KIDS (ages 2-17) the cruise right after mine they said they were expecting 1,000 kids.
if u go during xmas, thanksgiving, easter, sumer breaks... there will be more kids as well as more college students.
ncl usually has an older crowd/honeymoon crowd..
but i must say, we've met some awesome people that we hang out with on a regular basis to this day.
we met a gay couple last yr thats flying in from san francisco(shocker) to come to our wedding. lol

good point, i went in July and there were tons of teenagers, i am not sure how many young kids there were bc they had their own deck with pool, arcades, mini golf and other cool things so all the kids were always on that one deck so didnt see them much. I didnt even think there were that many kids on the cruise until i wanted to check out the arcade and went upstairs and saw all of them.
We want to go for 1st anniversary, one is leaving is May 16th. I was also trying to see if anything is leaving around Memorial day weekend so this way we have 1 less day to take off from work. Since its May probably wont be a lot of young kids. I don't mind older crowd but as long as its not all much older than us crowd ya know.
Thanks for the info
