not a drama queen, but the queen of wedding dramas (long)

you might be tired of hearing my problems... but i have to share this one because i can't believe how much drama one person can handle.

i may not be a drama queen, but i think if there was a pageant for the bride to have to deal with the most drama... i think i would be one of the final contestants.

there are just under six days until my wedding. i posted this morning about how happy i was that things were coming together. i met with doc, and 'band leader' at rh. things went so smoothly

'band leader' is fh's bil. he offered to have his band play as his gift to us.

well..... this evening at 7pm he (bil) announces that 'his band' will NOT BE PLAYING AT MY WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes, you read that right. less than six days to go and i have NO music. he said that i was putting 'too many restrictions' on 'his guys'.

what the *F*!!!!????? he wanted the band to have 'THEIR OWN TABLE'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i had mentioned to fh that ALL I WANTED was that they not drink during their playing. they would only be playing for FOUR F%$&^ING HOURS!!!!!!
they were going to have the same food as us, just eating in the kitchen. AND I WAS WILLING TO LET THEM TAKE ALL THE LEFT OVER ALCOHOL after the party, that way they could have fun later.

what is wrong with people!!!!!?????????????

so, here i am, the sunday before my wedding having to hunt down a dj because the man 'who is like a brother' to fh just took a $H!T on us.

thank you so much for your offer... during the time i was doing all that typing, i got a call from someone i know who djs.

i just needed to vent.

i'm a little heart-broken that fh's family would do something like that... not just to me, but to fh

wow im so sorry....i wouldnt be so pissed that they canceled i would be more hurt that someone that close could do such a cruel thing..... hope you find someone BETTER to play!

.. that is teribble... I doubt you put too many demands on him, it sounds like you didn't... but even if so... suck it up and do it.. its family. what a jerk! i hope it all works out for you!

Wow! What a terrible thing to do to ANYONE the week of the wedding... much less family! I'm SO sorry!!!! You REALLY don't need this right now!!!

As far as bands and music go, you're better off not using a family member or family friend. These stories are all too familiar.

I am still amazed by some people!!! That is absolutely horrible for him to do that 6 days before your wedding-I would ring his f* neck!!!

Glad that you found someone else to take his place!!!
