Not a Good start....

with our Photographer today. So I made an appointment for engagement pics with my photographer about a month ago for Monday at 12 noon. I let him know when we booked it for Monday that i had to do it early because i work at night and we needed to be done by 4pm. He told me that was no problem and he suggested 12pm. Well the day before we are supposed to get them taken he calls us at 9 oclock at night and asks if we can make it 3pm instead of 12 because he has an apt in the city at 6pm. We were like 'uhhh only if we get done by4pm' and he assusred us that its not a problem, and it will not take more than an hour. So we said ok.

Well we go to Brooklyn today to get our pics taken and at 3:45 we get a call from him saying he will be there in liek 20min. We were like we told you we need to leave at 4pm! He wouldnt have gotten there in time and i was going to be late for work so i had to rescheduale.

I was so upset!! I got all dressed up, did my hair/makeup. FH got all decked out and now we have to do it again.

I was very excited for this today and i was so upset when we drove home that we didnt get to take them.

Sorry this is so long, just need to vent!

Aww im so sorry..i would be upset too...it sucks that you guys both got all dressed up and take them ....feel better hun....and i would say something in a nice way and tell them that your not happy at all...( maybe get something out of it) LOL

that stinks. maybe try to negotiate some sort of bonus to help make up for him being inconsiderate?

also, if he's a giorgio's vendor, let them know about the service. can't imagine that they would be ok with unhappy brides dealing with their preferred vendors.

UgHhh so annoying.. but stick to your guns, you should have told him no- 12!!!! the original time! You are paying them.

thanks alot guys. I know FH spoke with him on the phone the day of and let him know how upset we were and how we thought this was very unprofessional but i think i want to write him an email myself, and let him know again. I am going to give him the second chance cause i did really like him when we met. I just hope everything comes out smoothly the next time. Ill keep you posted on how it goes!

from your story it did not sound like he had an emergency. it was just poor time management.

Hey Em!

OMG Im soo sorry this happened to you!! What the hell are people thinking? He basically said that his meeting or whatever was more important then your photo shoot!! I would be so pissed and make him do them for free! Or just change photog!! if not, just feel him out the second time and absolutely go with your gut instincts!

Wow. Did you sign the contract already? That sucks! See if you can get your money back and move on to the next! There are plenty of photographers out there. He is already showing you he does not value YOUR time and doesn't listen when you already told him you had to leave by 4 pm!
